My daughter has chosen these shoes for each year since starting secondary school. Each pair has lasted the school year - still looking in good condition at the end of the year. My daughter finds these shoes to be comfortable and easy to put on and off.

I bought my 10 year old these shoes ready for the new school year. Just a couple of weeks in and the sole came off one of them. Just pulled clean away. She only wears them for school and the standard playground play. Simply not fit for purpose. Had to do an emergency glue job on them before school. Suspect Clarks won't accept a return now. Will be thinking twice about buying shoes from Clarks next time. Simply not worth the money.

Smart and sensible these shoes have been acceptable to my daughter for the last 2 years since starting secondary school! I like them because they have a strap so no issues keeping them on her feet. They clean up easily too. We continue to appreciate the width measurements at Clarke’s.

These are fine, they fit my daughter's very narrow feet well but please Clarks can you do some more styles in a D width. These are the only shoes you sell for girls in a D when they get to size 3 and above, and she is so disappointed that she has to have the same ones each time and can't ever choose any of the other lovely styles when she gets new shoes.

Too narrow at toe

Toes shape is no good - it has rubbed and made my daughters toes sore (despite the local store telling me they are still her size and she still has room!). The toe shape is too narrow. The uppers inside are all worn so my daughter's toes have been against hard leather, not against the lining, and the remaining lining is rucked up, further constricting her toes. Very disappointed.

Clarks have such limited styles for primary school children who are in larger sizes. We have just discarded our second pair of these (only had twice because of lack of choice of style and not wanting lace ups or slip ons). This second pair have been bad value. I suspected my daughter had outgrown these so I took her to be measured two weeks ago. They told me she is still within the size and they felt her feet to see if they were okay and concluded they are. My daughter has been getting sore patches on her toes and has been too stubborn to admit they are rubbing but they obviously are. I had to clean them today and felt the uppers and found the fabric had worn away and rucked up in other places - I am certain this has rubbed her toes. I agree with other reviewers too that the tapered toe isn't ideal (unless the child's foot is very slim). Very disappointed. They are only worn three days a week, Probably about 40 wears and they are done. I am going to try an alternative make as I am fed up with the limited range (Clarks if you care - children wearing adult size 6 at primary school are still playing! They need a bouncy sole, some grip, a rounded toe - like the styles you do up to size 2)

Good fit, strap helps as my daughters feet are so narrow. She would have preferred a loafer style, but this was not possible due to her foot width. So a good compromise. Not sure how long they will last, but good for now.

Nice comfortable school shoes. Bought for my 11 year old who is growing quite fast! She would have loved some sort of decor in front, say a bow maybe. All in all a good shoe,let's see how long she wears it before she jumps up a size!
